Threats become more severe

YNetNews.com reports than Iran acknowledged that rumors of Israel planning to assassinate President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad were not true and his security detail has made no changes.

A senior-level Revolutionary Guards official strengthened the threats against the United States by stating that "
Israel will be the first target we will move against in the event America carries out a vicious action against us."

Sadly two other soldiers were injured do to a fire caused by the explosion not far ahead. This sad tragedy brings me as a reporter in training to a sad conclusion that war is a nasty nasty game. My heart goes out the families that have lost a loved one for the persuit of a better world. Facundo Tangona.

The UN resolution to Iran

The United States is backed by Britain, Germany, France and Germany fear the path of uranium enrichment. Iran still insists its nuclear program is for peaceful purposes. According to the Iran Daily news, three nations will introduce this resolution in New York on Thursday. This may open way for sanctions and freeze Iran's activities.
Researching Iran for over a month now, there hasn't been much progress for stopping the uranium enrichment. Other countries still remain fearful, and Iran says its purposes are not for destruction. I still can not tell if Iran is lying or not. Basically, eveything is all hearsay. I hope that a solution to this problem happens very soon. POSTED BY Erin Miller

Others remain, what now

After the trial of Moussaoui yet two others are presumed keu players of the Al Qaeda plot,Khalid Shaikh Mohammed and Ramzi Binalshibh have yet to be charged with a crime, even though they have been in custody for over three years. Some have reason to believe that they have not been incarcirated due to the fact that they have been held in secret by the government for questioning. Government officials say that intelligence from suspected terrorists is more important than punishing them by sentencing them. I hapen to agree, they are incarcirated but still in control of the government to be able to question and torture them to recieve information, that may be of use to the government. Facundo Tangona

The trial

37 year old French Moroccan could live onother 30 to 40 years experts say. He was going to be sentenced to death, but the jury of nine men and three women on wednesady all agreed to spare his life, Like i previously posted Moussaoui had said America lost and i won, the judge said no, the winer is the American Judicial system. As family members had a chance to speak Moussaoui paid no attention and tried to irritate the speakers by stating the CIA is the real killer."It was extremely hard listening to him and not jumping over that little (courtroom) fence and doing bodily harm to him. Not kill him, just bodily harm." In my openion i dont know if i could have composed my self. Facundo Tangona.

Judge Sentences

Judge sentences Moussaoui.
US District Judge Leonie M. Brinkema had the final say life without the posibility of parole."As for you, Mr. Moussaoui, you came here to be a martyr," she told him. "And to die in a great big bang of glory. But to paraphrase the poet T.S. Eliot, instead you will die with a whimper. The rest of your life you will spend in prison." He was sentenced to spend the rest of his life in prison in a high security facility near denver. After the verdict was read and he was carried away his final words where America you lost and i won, I mean come on what a coward, That to me is a person with no heart, no respect for the meaning of life, and what gets to me most is that one day a long time ago Moussaoui was a child playing with his friends, im sure his mother asks herself where did i go wrong. I agree with the verdict i want to see him suffer and get beat up in jail i want him to some day repent what he did. Facundo Tangona

Iran's Continuing Conflict

Iran is set to strike Israel if the U.S. attacks their soil. Today, a Revolutionary Guard told reporters that Israel will be Iran's first target. "We have announced that wherever America does make any mischief, the first place we target will be Israel," as told to an Iranian Student News Agency by General Mohammad Ebrahim Dehghani. This conflict continues between the two countries as the standoff between Iran and the U.S. continues in response to their nuclear power program. The Bush administration has no plans at this time for military interception, but has not removed those options from the table. Posted by Sandra Porter

Pakistan's Support

Pakistan's Foreign Secretary, Riaz Khan told the Bush administration today they will not support the U.S. force on Iran to cease their nuclear programs. "We are against any resort to force," Khan stated in an article from the Associated Press.
It looks as though the Bush administration is going is on its own campaign to find countries to either vote against the programs within United Nations or make a position against Iran at the moment. The question is, 'how will this affect us in the near future?' If our current administration does not rally up enough support, what will they do or what do they "already" have planned? Iran's "smoking gun"?

In an article in the Los Angeles Times today, the International Atomic Energy Agency said that there has been no "smoking gun", but a series of reports have revealed activities such as plutonium and drawings showing how to mold weapons-grade uranium metal into the shape of a warhead. The Los Angeles Times said, Iranian negotiator Ali Larijani said that if the Security Council imposed sanctions, Iran would stop cooperating with the IAEA and conceal its nuclear activities. Iran threatens to strike US interests if attacked

Reuters that the United States has officially been threatened by our friends in Tehran as Iran said it will "hit U.S. interests worldwide" if the United States attacks.

"The Americans should know that if they assault Iran their interests will be harmed anywhere in the world that is possible," Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said today.

It is unlikely that Iran has the range to issue an attack on U.S. soil, but as they hinted, we have interests worldwide, including our support for Israel which Iran has said, should be destroyed.

Israel Spies on Iran

Russia launched a satellite on behalf of Israel for spying on Iran's nuclear program. Due to the current political climate between Israel and Iran, they've taken precaution to gather information on Iran, focusing not only on Iran's nuclear program, but also their long range-missiles, according to a report by an Associated Press reporter. Russia's ties with Iran seems to have no effect on their current position with Israel and the Unite Nations. Israel still views Iran as a threat and feels the launching of Eros B is necessary for their safety. Posted by Sandra Porter

Iran to hide nuclear program

Iran is the world's fourth largest crude producer in the world, according to the Iran Daily News. The United States has not ruled out any military action at this time. Iran says if military action occurs they will close the program, which would not resolve the nuclear issue. Meanwhile, China insists on solving this problem through negotiations. POSTED BY Erin Miller
